Teresa and Caeden had the most romantic engagement session at the Sunflower Walk, in Central Saanich this summer!
“We loved the sunflower session! It was our first time having our photos professionally taken and Jitka made us feel so comfortable, we ended up having so much fun. Someone once told us that sunflowers represent love, happiness and warmth, which we think describes our relationship perfectly.” - Teresa
The couple have known each other since they were in middle school and their energy together is effervescent, making them a joy to photograph.
“We went to the same middle school and only knew each other because we had mutual friends; it wasn’t until one day I received a text from Caeden years later, while we were attending different high schools, that we started talking again. Not a single day has passed since then that we haven’t talked to each other.” - Teresa
Caeden proposed on their 5th anniversary in Vancouver, on a rainy evening,
“I was very nervous the whole day, but I knew Teresa was starting to get grumpy from being in the rain, so I knew I had to make my move.” – Caeden
Most of the images below are Fuji 400 film taken on the Pentax 645nii and Nikon F100, with a handful of digital photos (taken by my incredible second shooter and hubby). Developed and scanned by The Canadian Film Lab.
“We looked through so many photographers’ portfolios to find a perfect match. When we saw Jitka’s photos we knew immediately that she was the one. Her style is exactly what we wanted: light, airy, like a fairytale.” - Teresa
