The pouring rain on a late fall evening did nothing to dampen the love and magick of Tarek’s proposal to Reema! One of the most beautiful sessions and two of the loveliest humans I have had the privilege of photographing.
“Reema and I spent quite a bit of time on the island (Victoria, Tofino, Nanaimo) and it holds a special place in our hearts and our relationship. We fall more in love with Victoria every time we visit it. I always knew I was going to propose to her on the island when the time was right and I was never one for public proposals whereas a romantic proposal in the cozy rain was something I knew Reema was going to love! Besides now we have the perfect excuse to keep visiting Victoria and the island!” ~ Tarek
“I suggested we take a day trip to Victoria to disconnect and visit our favourite locations. Getting her to dress up was tricky but I essentially told her we have tickets to an upscale theatre venue and dinner. We had time to kill and suggested we visit this park in the heart of the downtown. Next thing you know, I am down on one knee...” ~ Tarek
“I didn’t suspect a thing. Tarek had been building a narrative for months about how we definitely weren’t going to get engaged until the summer, at the earliest - and even then he was being unclear - doing everything he could to steer me away from thinking something was going to happen during the holiday season. The whole proposal was beautiful. It was exactly what I always dreamed of. It was cozy, intimate, connected. I felt like it was just him and I in the world, and that we had everything right there.” ~ Reema
