Jessica and Mathew are a couple that do not take themselves too seriously - and yet were both more than willing to pose for some classic elegant photos! As they had a 3 p.m. summer ceremony, but also wanted evening reception coverage, they opted to skip the getting ready session. Nonetheless, we grabbed some photos of Jessica being helped into her dress and reading a heartfelt letter from Mathew just before the ceremony.

Rose gold is Jessica’s favorite colour and red is Mat's, so the couple found that these colours worked well together. The decor was full of DIY details of geo shapes with tones of burgundy, wine, blush, rose gold and navy blue, which the whole family chipped in to bring to fruition. Mat’s dad spray-painted all the table lights and custom place cards were made by Jessica.

“We used the geo shapes for the bridesmaid’s flowers (custom-made rings from Mat's brother-in-law) and an arbour. The arbour was better then I could have imagined. My uncle made the frame and Mat's mom handmade each of the paper flowers on it. It was stunning.”

For their 'signing book' they chose to have a message in a bottle, with five bottles, one for each year over the next five years.

“We asked guests to leave us messages in the bottles with wishes and advice for our anniversaries. This is a gift that will bring us together each year as we look back on how perfect our wedding day was and remember all the amazing people who joined us.”
