The most golden of hours on the eve of a full moon, with a gentle warm summer evening breeze, atop the summit of Mount Doug - this was the picture perfect backdrop of Cassidy and Jordan’s engagement session.
The couple started as workplace friends, before their romance blossomed:
“Cassidy and I met 5 years ago at the bar we worked at. I was bartending and she was a server - we spent a lot of nights working together. In that time we became good friends, but I always had a secret crush on her.” - Jordan
On the way to dinner while on their mini-staycation, Jordan popped the question:
“Jordan asked if I wanted to stop at this special little beach we used to go to in Cordova Bay when he lived out that way. We lucked out and no one was around (I thought). We were sitting on a blanket listening to music when all of a sudden our song came on and he asked me to stand up and got down on one knee. The rest was a crazy blur of tears, followed by my best friend running out of a bush where she was secretly taking photos. It was truly the happiest day ever!!!!”
For their session, Cassidy brought along simple timeless props: a soft cotton picnic blanket and hats to mix up the look, as the sun went down behind the horizon, casting an ethereal golden glow over the scene.
“We thought Mount Doug would be a cool spot to take our photos and capture the golden hour. And by we I mean Cass.” - Jordan
“Our favourite part of the photo session was Jitka! She made us feel super comfortable and works really hard to make sure everything, especially the lighting, is perfect. She is magic!!” - Cassidy
