On August 20, 2020, Natasha, Mitch and Hudson welcomed the arrival of their baby twins Liam and Mila. Having photographed the family and worked with Natasha on projects in the past, it was such a pleasure to capture these precious moments.
“To be a mother to two incredible thriving babies at once. To nourish them daily and watch their mannerisms change. To watch them slowly interact with one another. To be constantly baffled that I carried them both at the same time.
I’m very proud of the three kids we’ve created.” - Natasha
“The joy of having two individually unique and amazing babies to have and hold. I love kissing their fuzzy heads. There’s nothing like it.” - Mitch
How is Hudson taking on the big brother role?
“Hudson is four and a half now so the age gap is definitely there. He’s so used to being our only child that the initial shift was quite challenging on him. More and more though, he’s stepping up to the role and loving his little siblings so much. I see daily glimpses of the beautiful bonding to come and it melts my heart.“ - Natasha
The session was captured solely on film. The benefit of shooting film, aside from the beautiful skin tones and highlight details, is that there is no back of the camera to check. We are then all in the moment.
“We loved leaving it all to surprise! The results are absolutely stunning and the anticipation to receive the film back leaves a little more excitement to the process. We love the timeless and classic look of the finished product.” - Natasha + Mitch
For Photography lovers: Film was Fuji 400 taken on the Pentax 645nii and Portra 400 taken with the Nikon F100. Developed and scanned by The Canadian Film Lab.
